ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR AMMO PERS

Description: This course satisfies mandatory training and refresher training requirements for personnel requiring a foundational knowledge of environmental considerations applicable to all phases of AE operations as prescribed by DoD 5160.68, 40 CFR, AR 385-10, and DA PAM 385-64. Course content includes a review of explosives safety and environmental regulatory guidance, as well as a comprehensive review of environmental laws, hazardous waste identification, hazard communication and training, spill prevention, response, and reporting, and hazardous waste management.
Audience: Ammunition Area/Operation Supervisors, Ammunition Handling/Operating Personnel, and Safety Professionals with Explosives Safety responsibilities as prescribed by DoD 5160.68, 40 CFR, AR 385-10, and DA PAM 385-64.
Length: Approximately 4 hours (self-paced learning).
Special Information: This course is a web-based (online) course hosted on the Army Training Information System (ATIS). Students must have web access and a CAC card. Students must register through ATRRS for course credit. A high-speed Internet connection is recommended to complete the course.
