Ungraded knowledge checks are distributed throughout the content to provide students with immediate feedback about their level of understanding in each topic. Graded multiple choice questions are provided at the end of each course. 75% of these must be answered correctly to complete the course. After three unsuccessful attempts to do so, the course will be marked as unsuccessful.

Description: This course satisfies mandatory training and refresher training requirements for personnel requiring a foundational knowledge of environmental considerations applicable to all phases of A&E operations as prescribed by DoD 5160.68, 40 CFR, AR 385-10, and DA PAM 385-64. Course content includes a review of explosives safety and environmental regulatory guidance, as well as a comprehensive review of environmental laws, hazardous waste identification, hazard communication and training, spill prevention, response, and reporting, and hazardous waste management.

Audience: Ammunition Area/Operation Supervisors, Ammunition Handling/Operating Personnel, and Safety Professionals with Explosives Safety responsibilities as prescribed by DoD 5160.68, 40 CFR, AR 385-10, and DA PAM 385-64.

Length: Approximately 4 hours (self-paced learning).

Special Information: This course is a web-based (online) course. Students must have web access and a CAC card. Students must register through ATRRS for course credit. A high-speed Internet connection is recommended to complete the course.
