AMMUNITION SURVEILLANCE APPLICATIONS

Description: This course provides a comprehensive overview of the conventional ammunition surveillance program, as well as technical training in properly applying regulations, procedures, and documentation to support the Ammunition Surveillance Program, Stockpile Reliability Program, and Propellant Stability Program. Course instruction emphasizes concepts critical to conducting ammunition surveillance tasks as a QASAS including condition codes, defect codes, and inspection standards and criteria, as well as utilizing the Munitions History Program (MHP) to obtain and manage surveillance data.
Audience: DA Fellows enrolled in Quality Assurance Specialist, Ammunition Surveillance (QASAS) Functional Community-20 as prescribed by AR 690-950.
Length: 10 Weeks.

The IACET Standard: DAC has been approved by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) as an Authorized Provider of Continuing Education Units (CEUs). In obtaining this accreditation, the Defense Ammunition Center has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard which is recognized internationally as a standard of good practice.
